Stone Cladding Clamps

The natural stone cladding can be installed mainly by two methods, namely the wet installation method and dry installation method. Both the ways have their pros and cons, whose application is based on the objective and the wall conditions.

Wet Installation of Natural Stone Cladding

The wet installation is the most commonly used method for natural stone cladding. The crucial decision is to select the best method from the variety of installation options given by the wet process.

Dry Method of Natural Stone Installation

In this method, fixed or embedded anchors, metal framing, steel brackets, or ties attach the stone to the surface. The method is applied only on thicker and stronger stone cladding, as the process requires drilling of a hole into the stone. This method demands a gap of ¾ inch to allow drainage.

Stone Cladding Clamps Range In India

Chair Clamp

SS Chair share-Clamp (Adjustable) - Its an adjustable clamp, can be made in various sizes according to stone weight or distance required between stone & wall. Widely used grades - 304 & 316. Usually 5mm thick. HILTI & FISCHER have fixed sizes & they manufacture only in SS304 & SS316 grades.

Z Clamp

SS Z-Clamp (Adjustable) - It's an adjustable clamp, can be made in various sizes according to stone weight or distance required between stone & wall. Widely used grades - 202 & 304. Usually 4mm & 5mm thick.

L Clamp

SS L Clamp(Not adjustable) - Most widely used. Mostly used in SS202 & SS304 grades. SS202 is cheaper & SS304 is expensive. The main difference between these two grades of stainless steel lies in their composition. Grade 304 is composed of 18% chromium and 8% nickel, while grade 202 is composed of 17% chromium and 7% nickel. This difference might seem minor, but it makes a big impact on how durable each type of material is. High strength and high corrosive applications use 304 instead of 202.

L & T Clamp

SS L&T CLAMP with Nut, Bolt & Washer - It's an adjustable clamp, can be made in various sizes according to stone weight or distance required between stone & wall. Widely used grades - 202 & 304. Usually 4mm thick.

Frame fixing SXR-FUS A2 (SS304) with hexagon head

The efficient with short expansion element

The fischer frame fixing SXR is a plug made from high-quality nylon. Thanks to its special plug geometry, the SXR can be used in solid and hollow building materials. Due to the low anchorage depth of just 50 mm, the frame fixing can work particularly cost-effectively. The low drill hole depth saves time and reduces bit wear. The SXR is offered with a diameter of 10 mm up to a fixing length of 260 mm with hexagonal screws made from zinc-plated steel, hot-dip galvanised steel and stainless steel. The European Technical Approval offers added safety. The SXR with hexagonal screw and moulded washer is particularly recommended for fixing metal constructions.
